For those who don't know anything or much about the RESURRECTION of those who have died, (The Creator Jehovah determines those who will rise again) hear this: it is one of the most solid foundation upon which the hope of all faithful servants of God now and in the past is based!!
Abraham, Abel, David, Job, etc believed firmly in it and it was not a blind belief but one based on reality because the One (Jehovah) who promises it was very real to them!!
For once upon a time, the Patriarch Job said: "For there is hope even for a tree. If it is cut down, it will sprout again. And its twigs will continue to grow...If its root grows old in the ground. And its stump dies in the soil, At the scent of water it will sprout; And it will produce branches like a new plant.
Job 14:7-10.
So if there is hope for a tree and even for other of God's wonderful creative works (all of them are made to regenerate else they will have long gone into extinction!!)
So tell me why the most intelligent of all of these creations, humans should die and be powerless & forgotten??
It makes no sense!!
Something went practically wrong somewhere in the middle of things...
Remember, at the scent of water the dead root stump rises and flourishes once again with life.
At the scent of Jehovah's holy spirit, we and/or our dead loved ones can rise again...
Why do you, yes you disbelief?
When you go to sleep, do you go to sleep with the morbid fear that you will not wake up??
You seem to have this confidence that you will wake up right? Some of us even set an alarm to that effect!!
Or have you seen someone or a group of people who refuse to sleep because of the fear that they won't wake up?
Even if we have people who practice that...the power of nature put within us by God will forcefully demand such sleep else we become disoriented and psychologically imbalanced.
So if we sleep with that great confidence that we will wake, where has that bright hope gone to in this world that we can rise again when we and/or our dead loved ones die??
The greatest despair that can ever happen to a man is when hopelessness sets in into his life!!
Abraham believed in the resurrection. For he said to his family: I and the boy are going up to the mountain to worship and we will return even though he knew that God had told him to go up and offer (kill) his son as a sacrifice to Him!!
Genesis 22:1-5.
Because he had great faith (for he is the father of all those having faith!!) that God was able to raise Isaac up from the dead! Hebrews 11:17-19.
For his great faith, God made a substitute provision by miraculously giving a sheep which he eventually offered in place of his son Isaac.
Genesis 22:12-14 (Jehovah-jireh)
Same way for us today, instead of all of us to die without hope, Jehovah-jireh has made a wonderful swap for us to die in our place. Let us put great faith in God's provision and accept his loving ransom provision for us, the death of Christ Jesus!!
If one man can introduce death and sin to the human race for which none and I mean none of us are yet free from (this includes all the Gurus, Saints, Popes and Bishops of this world!!) Who on this planet says that one perfect man by God cannot take it away??
As if it were impossible for God!!
This hope is so sure and it does not lead to disappointment.
Romans 5:5.
For me it is even more surer than the hope Physicists (laws to propel machines accurately into space), Surgical doctors (they trust that a baby must be found around the uterus and not inside the head, etc) and other scientist have for their hope in the natural laws of God upon which they base all their postulations, formulas and inventions!!
